On the road and bummin' it hard
This bloggo is for Eddie.
Double O, Super Turtle, and MeMungo are coolin' our heels here in the high desert. We have been together for 49 hours and are having a great time. We went to the strip yesterday, which was mostly for Bubbles' benifit since he has never seen it. Today we road the quads up into the mountains. I rode with ST, Double O rode Beck's. I am chicken when it comes to motorized vehicals when I'm not surrounded by a reinforced cage. The only reason I rode on the back with ST is because I trust him. I wouldn't have ridden if it were anyone else offering to take me out. We had a blast for 5 hours straight! I am very happy I decided to go along. We rode up to the mountains and around them. ST showed us two of his Geocash's and then he showed us one of someone else's that he found a while back. An odd, but fun, part of the ride today took us down through the concrete-walled flood washs right throgh the city. (Double O has pictures and video.)
Speaking of video, tonight we watched both the DVDs Mike made of our times in AK. Double O and I have been remotivated to get out and hike, camp, and bike a whole lot more than we have been.
Eddie, not only were we motivated to get outside more... but we were all reminded of how great those years in AK were when we were all together. I can speak for Mike and Doubles when I say we wish you were here with us. You are missed a lot. I hope that we'll have this chance again sometime soon. The four of us need to tear it up somewhere.
Tomorrow, we're packing up our junks and heading to Valley of Fire for some campin! Wasn't it great when we went a few years ago? That place was just awsome. I'm looking forward to it. But we're getting up at 6:30 a.m. and I need to go to bed. (See time-of-post).
We'll be updating you on the haps as we go along. Again, wish you were here, brother. Phyically crossing paths is a requirement for a person to meet another. But just because those lines continue on in seperate directions does not mean that the friendship state of mind has diverged. You're here with us.
Peace and Love,
Mungo
PS> Good luck with the girls. The ones here in Vegas don't seem to want anything to do to me. And even though they are EVERYWHERE, I can't seem to find even one. Oh well.
