Leroy's Before 6:10 a.m.
Double O and I left the house after watching this cartoon:

Ah so there. We left the house around 1 a.m.
(The electricity had gone out in Double O's neighborhood. Only one street over, power ran freely, but in Double O's Duplex, only candles. Flicker. Flicker. Flat. Since Bubbles had to be at work by 6 a.m., I drove over, ate three slices of pizza and brought him back to the Romanzof Half where our alarm clocks worked just fine. The plan was that I'd give him a ride.)
We drove to Leroy's together, in the Diskohaus, and decided that it would be a good idea if Double O just stayed up all night and drank coffee. He doesn't need sleep. Pa-shaw. Double O had his Harry Potter book and I had my Highway 9 notebook. We walked into the diner and guess who was working behind the counter. My good ole friend, Jen. And guess who was sitting at a table being pestered by Jeano, a man 30 years older than her. The newest girl of my dreams Mary. Yes, the one who says she has a boyfriend. Awww. Double O had no idea that I knew these two girls because, like Eddie, he doesn't read much of The Tin Can Spi. Even when he writes, not much look-back happens. He relies on me to relay everything, and I haven't told him about anything I've written lately.
So, anydangway, I said, "Hi Mary."
And she said, "Hey Erik."
And I said, "Hey Jen."
And she said, "Hey sweet cupin' cakes."
Double O was very much beside himself with awe, wonder, bemusement, giggles, and girlishness. We sat down at a booth behind Mary and Jeano and chatted about this and that. Double O kept laughing, especially when Mary got up and stretched. We both starred at her rump because it's really nice. We got into our literature projects, reading and writing, and had quite a few cups of coffee. Twice, Mary invited me out to the Bear's Tooth with Jen tomorrow night (er... Tonight) at 7:30. I have no idea what movie is playing, but I'll be damned if I'm not going. Ha ah ha!
It's 6:22 a.m. Hillary said she'd be home mid-morning and we're supposed to go run some errands. Recycling Center. Buy a coffee maker. The Grocery. Then we're supposed to watch two movies, "Garden State" and "Napoleon Dynamite." Hopefully I'll have time to nap somewhere before 7:30 p.m. I've already been up all night. Yaps.
Oh, on our way to Leroy's, I saw the same woman I picked up the other night. I wonder if she recognized my car as I sped past her and splashed her with tire mist. Mist, yes. Everything is soaking wet. It's been in the mid 40's since yesterday morning! OH CWAP!
Peace and Love,
Mungo
