The Haps

Where in the world is Mungo San Diego??? I wrote his sister a quick note to see if he had gotten there yet but no response as of yet.

So last week I was out in the field playing army. It was much better this time compared to the times that I did the field in Mt Hell. We actually had our services section there and ate real food for 2 meals a day and only 1 MRE. We also stayed in army barracks. As shitty as that sounds it is better than taking a shower underneath a water buffalo (water truck) and shitting in port-a-potties the whole time.

I also found out today that there is Anthrax out there. I guess I should have figured this since the place has been used to test litterally everything known (to the general populous) around that site. To include... nuclear, biological, chem, and conventional. I am suprised I am not glowing at this point. I love my job, I love the Air Force... I love my job, I love the Air Force... I love my job, I love the Air Force... you get the point.

So tonight, ST is seeing Rob Thomas in concert. I almost went to it with them, but decided otherwise. I will be going down there next week anyway for 9 days or so. Time to reak some havoc.

I went to my usual tonight (VI) and ate then the waitress decided to just sit and BS with me for about 30 minutes. That was interesting. The normal manager who knows who I am was not there so the other manager looked like he was annoyed but the waitress didn't give a damn what he thought... funny. Didn't really talk about anything important just kinda shot the shit for a while. She said she was getting old... she is frickin' 19. She thought I was around 24 and was shocked when she found out that I am turning 27 next week. Damn I hate getting older... ST is still an older man than me though.

Bubbles congrats on the boy. Now Mungo, ST and I will have something to laugh at when we see dad and son both crashing there bikes on completely flat ground for no apparent reason. And yes, you should get fixed... he he he... I think you know the reason that I am thinking of but if you don't, here is a hint... CHILD SUPPORT!!!!

Anyway, Much love to my Bro's

WTF

Haven't heard from Mungo? What the hell are you talking about? I am assuming that he and his girlie took off and headed for Iowa? If that is the case then I hope all goes well.

ST out

Snow go bye-bye

well, its officially spring time in Alaska. the snow is almost all gone. just the mountains have a heavy white. All over town is pretty much a mud hole. I went for the first bike ride of the year about 2 weeks ago, and got soaked. Fishing, camping, hiking, and other fun summer stuff is right around the corner.

Northern Air Cargo just recieved a new Boeing 727 from Arizona last week. its a pile of crap. we are going to be getting another one to match from Canada in about a month or two. needless to say that the Canadian one should be in better shape. so I think I will be needed around for the time being. I will be taking my 2nd test hopefully tomorrow. Im pretty sure im going to pass.

Julie and the kid are doing great. we found out that the other kid is a boy. Joseph Arnold Alexander Jacobson, initials are the same forwards and backwards. I was hoping for Amelia Skyy Jacobson, just because of the name we picked out. oh well. Im getting fixed after this one is born. LOL

Looking forward to going home on vacation. this will be a well needed time away from work. it will be good to see the family again. my sister graduates from college. CRAP.....time does fly by. I will be trying to fly that helicopter if i can. I will be sure to get it all on video. Also would like to go fishing, but i'll have to see if i got the time.

Still no word from Mungo. He left last Friday at about 2pm. I tried to call the cell phone, but got the voice mail and left a message. I will be calling the Kershner house tomorrow to see if they have heard anything. I'll be sure to post if i hear anything.

well, its off to bed. gonna do a little more studying in the morning before i go test.

Carry On My Wayward Sons

So here I am... 0430 waiting to get recalled back to work for some stupid ass exercise. Mungo is probably only on pot 13 for then night at Leroys.

I am wearing new boots. I had a pair exacly like them at Mt Home. Steeltoe boots that look like "Do you believe in magic" type boots.

Anyway, It is nice to see that someone in the lower 49 gets called. I sure as hell didn't. Unless it is by ST, then the fucker never even told me y'all punk asses called. FUCKERRRRR!!!

My back and wrist are getting better. I still have the brace on my wrist and I occasionally tweek the back, but it is nothing that riding on a quad again could not help. OK, so it would probably fuck it up a little more, but DAMNIT!, I want to go ridin'.

I asked the chick from the VI out. She said she had a boyfriend. Go figure. My luck sucks with women.

I saw L this weekend. That was great! She is talking a lot more now and most of it is understandable. There is the occasions where she rattles on about some goofy shit that I can't understand, but her mother is like that too, so I guess I can't blame the kid for it. She is also a clutz. Gets that from her mom as well. That kid trips over everything. It is funny to watch sometimes though.

ST and I hook it up on the XBOXIO often. That is a blast. It is like being back up in AK playing "Unreal" or "Diablo" I am glad when the wife gives him the kitchen pass. I think I was getting him in trouble when I was there and kept going riding on the weekends. Too many kitchen passes without doing what we said we would do. (i.e. build shelves, clean garrage, take at least one shower per week...) Well, the shelves were built.

Mungo and Bubbles, call my ass. ST has my # and it is a very easy #. Either that, or send me an email with your #. Bubbles, I will be calling in the next few days if you don't call me and will be ass kickin through the phone. I want to talk to my bro's.

Can you believe that we met almost 8 years ago? (Mungo you were a bit less) WOW! Time is flyin, and ST is getting really fucking old.

Peace Up!!!!

Hit "Publish" and the phone rang.

I picked it up already knowing who was on the other end....or at least I thought that I knew (caller ID). It said Anthony 007 but it was really Mungo. He April Fooled me into THINKING it was 007 when it was REALLY Mungo. Yep, he did.

It turns out that Mungo and I hit publish on the blog at about the exact same time so he called me since I was ragging him for not calling or letting us know what was happening. I talked with both Mungo and 007 for a total of about 1.5 hours. Amazing how time flies when you are just chatting away.

Talk to you when you get to Iowa, Mungo! WOO WOO! Good luck with that and ZZ.

Later bros.

ST

Yeah, so here I am...

...all alone.

Mungo has apparently moved out and not told us what his new home is all about or given us a new ringy box number. Go figure.

I would have thought that Mungo could at least go to Bubble's house to bloggie just a bit. Hell, Maybe if 007 ever reads this then HE can update us on what is going on up there in AK. I would call Bubbles but I am not sure when he is home and that means he might not be the one to answer the phone.

Okay, I am done now.

April Fools!

Ha ha ha! Gotcha! I wasn't gone at all! Just an April Foolio's gag. Here I am. I'm back. Sort of. I'm on Double O's computer. I'm hardly ever this deep into his duplex of despondency, but today is a little different. Julie is out of the house at her Book Club meeting. Can you believe it? I think that it's great she gets out.

So. What's the big mystery? Where have I been these last several weeks? 17 days ago I moved out of the Romanzof Half. Didn't say goodbye, nothing. Packed up and moved into a three bedroom duplex off Arctic and 70th. Tony, Double O's old roommate, lives there with his girlfriend, Tiffany, and Tiffany's daughter, Hannah. Also, another guy, Paul, lives there. I have been sleeping on an air mattress in one of the rooms. Every night, ZZ is there with me. She is the chick, and no, she ain't got me by the balls. She's got me by my Everything. All my time has gone to her.

I'm sorry for not blogging. Had I continued, we'd be up to Leroy's Part 196 or something by now. You have no idea. I've been through hell and heaven with all the new people I've become friends with. I've been to the emergency room for myself and with ZZ for several different things. There are more stories that will probably never be written down than I can remember. What happened last night (Midnight showing of SIN CITY at Totem Theater, and lots of weird moments at Denny's, twice, and Leroy's and people getting two inch holes put into their breasts and.... that was yesterday) feels like a month ago. The computer at Tiffany and Tony's is upstairs. Someone is always on it, internet or games. There are always people on the couch in the living room eating moldy bread that I threw away that they pulled out of the trash. I am made to feel very unwelcome there. For the first time since I've known Tiffany she's turned into a controling bitch. I can't stand her evil glares or her silent treatment or her $350 per/mo rent demand on the tiny room I've squirled away my possessions in. I hate it there and only sleep there. I go "home," sleep, shower, leave, repeat. That is why I haven't used their computer to blog.

Eddie. I know you were trying to call a few weeks ago. I feel terrible that I haven't called you back.

Double O has re-opened an invitation for me to stay with him, but Julie closed it because her neighbors are having some remodeling done to thier house so the husband, wife, and three children will be moving into the other half of the duplex with Double O, Julie, and Lissy. Math time people. That's 8 people, half adults, half children, living in an extremely messy 3 bedroom duplex. You remember the way their apartment looked on GHill, right? It's the same now as it was then. I've never seen it clean here. Anyway.

I put my two weeks notice in at the Sportsmen's Warehouse. I'm feeling wrung out there. There are several jobs at NAC that I could be getting soon. They all pay more and with better benifits. It looks like ZZ will be getting a serving job at the Village Inn on Spenard. If we both get the jobs, we're planning on getting an apartment together.

But, only an hour ago, sitting in my car outside of Double O's place, (waiting for Julie to leave) we discussed how much it would cost to drive to Osage, Iowa from Anchorage, AlAskA... one way.

I'm going crazy and I know it. So. You don't have to dig too hard.
Also. I'm happy.

Eddie, how's the wrist?

Peace and Love,
Mungo
