Further Fallout from "the Catch"

I cannot be put on Temporary Air Guard Reserve (AGR) orders until I have my World-Wide Deployable Statement. I cannot get my World-Wide DePLORable Statement until I am no longer Class 3 Dental.

So, in order to help me pay for the upcoming, yet unscheduled, root canal on molar #13, my boss, Mr./MSgt Steve Wyreck, put me on Additional Training (AT) days. AT days are the "Two weeks a year" you hear about when people talk about the Air National Guard.

Yesterday, Wednesday, after working the first 3 AT days, Mr./MSgt Steve Wyreck tells me that Kulis ANG base declined my request to work my 14 AT days due to myself currently being Class 3 Dental. Having already worked three of them, we had to think of something.

Unit Training A-somethings (UTA) are the "One weekend a month" days you hear about when people talk about the Air National Guard. They do not strictly have to be worked on the scheduled days. You can do them earlier, Before UTA (BUTA, Buddah) or you can do them afterwards, Retroactive UTA (RUTA).

Following this?

So, instead of doing AT days, this Monday-Thursday has been filed as BUTAs for me.

4 days = 2 weekends. 2 weekends = 2 months.

As it stands now, having just finished working today (Thursday) I will not be retuning to work until February because I have BUTA'd the next two months' worth of workable days.

In the meantime, I am pursuing insurance through United Concordia and attempting to accomplish the root canal in quick order. That tooth, molar #13, is costing me money.

I am in TT training. Today I began and tested out of Module 3, Operator Console Display (ODC) Familiarization, a 4 day lesson. I studied and took notes for 4 hours and passed the test with a 92%.
