ZZ's 19th Birthday Party

For ZZ's B-Day I asked all of our friends to come over to our apartment for a few drinks, delicious Lava Cake, and some laughs. The only people that didn't come were the ones working (Geno, who works on the docks; Brain and Grant, cabbies; Mary, Leroy's waitress; ZZ's step-dad Robert, Fred Meyer's; Gordon, who was flying in Nome; and Kevin Swaidek, ACS) or the one's whose cars were broken down (KidKenny, 17 year old jazz rocker; Ray, who's back from Seattle after being robbed) so we had a pretty good turn out. Roxann, Jenn, Chuck, Kandi, Gabe, Kathy (ZZ's mother). You might think that six guests for a birthday party is small, but it was nice for us. Liz got some nice gifts and the mood was just right! We had a wonderful time. I sang ZZ her birthday song and she got a little teary. Her cousin, Roxann, was openly crying. I was so nervous playing in front of people, and so emotional watching ZZ's face tear up that I almost collapsed. After that, I started drinking a lot and I got drunk for only the 3rd time all year. I don't remember how I got to bed, I fell asleep, I think, on the couch watching Red Dwarf. I wish you guys could have been there. It wasn't a big drink fest, we're not about that, it all just sort of snuck up on me. Snuck up on ZZ too, I guess. She's still sleeping it off and it's 4:16 p.m.

Peace and Love,
Mungo
