Paiute Trail

I can't begin to say how much fun was had on Saturday while we all rode the Paiute. Beck, Ashlee, Eddie, John and Keivn were all there and having a great time. Photos can be seen at wachel.net.

There are two movies there as well of John (Ghetto) jumping his quad into a creek crossing.

Only two animals were hurt during this weekend. The first was a 3 foot rattle snake that I ran over as I was coming around a turn at the end of the ride (it tried to avoid it). He managed to slither off in to the bushes. The second was a bird that flew in to the front of my car while I was going 80mph. It hit the front edge of the hood (pretty sharp edge) and I heard a loud thump but never saw anything in my rear view on the road. About 100 miles later when we stopped at Burger King I walked around the front of the car....yep, it was still there. It was a little bird about the size of my fist. The bird had almost gotten cut in half and the lower half was hanging in front of the grill and the top was stuck to the hood. I had to get a stick and scrape it off! I still have to go and wash the blood off.

Besides that...no other animal injuries (although I almost hit a deer on my quad).

Next weekend Eddie, John and I are going to load up the quads for a day of riding and a night of camping and riding. Marathon style.

ST out
