He Looked Like Joe Montana

ZZ and Caleb were registered with WIC today. That will be nice at the grocery store. While we were atthe WIC office, we spoke to some lactaion consultants who reassured ZZ that she is still perfectly capable of breast feeding. The male doctor, the one that I thinks looks like Joe Montana ("He looks like Joe Montana, ZZ." "He looks like the ubber goober." "Ya, like Joe Montana."), has been researching and teaching breast feeding for 16 years. So, right there in his office ZZ popped the boobs out and Caleb immediately latched on perfect and fed for 20 minutes. We thought shehad dried up.

Okay, I'msorry. The TINCANSPI was not created to tell stories about breastfeeding.

Peace and Love,
Mungo

Brushin' Em

I need to brush my teeth. My mouth feels gross.

We've got Caleb on a blanket, ZZ's got some crazy Baby Einstein star that plays music and lights up in a pattern to make our baby smart. I guess the ultimate goal with Baby Einstein is to mold and stimulate your baby into a strong mathematician capable of designing nuclear weaponry before pre-school.

My breath is very nasty.

Peace and Love,
Mungo

PS< EDDIE, I'm very happy to hear that Lorellei's surgery went well. I'm sure you're relieved.

Still here

Yup, I am still around and have no excuse not to blog.

Mungo, good to hear Caleb is doing well.

Lorelei is doing well and recovered from her surgery wonderfully.

Nothing else going on, just ready to go do some 4 wheelin'.

What's Yer Excuse?

I just got a brand new baby! That's why I'm not blogging for crap! What's yer excuse, ST? What's yer excuse, Eddie?

He's doing great, by the way. Caleb is. He rolled over from his belly to his back today for the first time. We're all bragging and proud about it.

Have you guys been getting the pictures I've been sending? My camera broke, my good 35mm camera: trashed. Junked. So, we've had to resort to using freaking disposable cameras. Hate em. I wish ZZ and I were up with the digi-age. Write it down on the calender, Mungo wants a digital camera.

Peace and Love,
Mung0

How NOT to sell a car!

Rebecca was out and about today and just happened past a VW dealership with a nice looking used Honda minivan out front. She called and talked to Matt about it and said that we might be in later to look at it. Well, when I got home we headed over to take a look and see what was up.

We found Matt and he informed us that the van had just sold. Okay, no big deal. He mentioned that he had a Toyota van that was red. I mentioned that I don't like red and that obviously offended him. He couldn't understand why I wouldn't look at a car just because it was red. We then said that we wanted to look at a Toureg (spelling?) so he pointed us over to a used one and told us that he would be right back. We looked at it and it was too much so Beck, Ash and I walked back to the car and got in. Matt came running up asking why we were leaving. He said that he could get more vans and it would only take five minutes and that he KNEW we had 5 minutes! I told Beck to just drive becouse I wasn't going to deal with a high pressure salesman. Yeah, that didn't make him too happy.

After we were out on the main street waiting to turn he came RUNNING up and knocked on the window. He said he didn't understand where I was getting the high pressure thing from and I just laughed. He stormed off.

Later on Beck's cell phone rings and it's him. I answer it and he starts in on the whole thing about how he is not high pressure and that he can find more vans, etc. I told him that I am not interested (again) and hung up. Ten seconds later he calls back asking about what he did wrong. I list ALL the things and then tell him to please not call again and I hang up (again). Five seconds later the phone rings and he starts in again. I was nice and polite up until this point. I proceeded to tell him that I am never buying a car from him and that he can put his manager on as well if it would make him feel better. I also said that if he called back that I was going to file harassment charges against him. I hung up AGAIN. The phone instantly rang. When I picked up I was barraged by him yelling at me and telling me off. Good ole Matt, told me that I didn't fucking know anything and that I had now fucking idea how it was to be a fucking salesman. He ended by telling me to have a nice fucking life. He hung up.

I just about went back to the dealer to kill this peckerwood. I called the dealership and talked to the manager. The manager was really nice and just about died when I told him the whole thing. I said that I wouldn't have a problem showing up with my attorney as well as writing corporate a letter and everyone else I can think of. The manager kept saying how sorry he was and that he would take care of it.

The minute we got home our phone was ringing. The manager said that he had already talked with the entire management at the dealer. Matt is no longer working for them.

WHAT A FREAKING DAY!!!

CONGRATS to MUNGO and ZZ

Congrats my Brother. Now you know what the easiest thing in the world that makes you either laugh or cry.

Good to hear that he is doing well. May you have many restful nights... actually, I am jealous and want you to wake up 5 times a night like I did. I am just bitter... but it is a fun bitterness, not a malicious one.

You will have to get Caleb on a quad soon now so we all can go riding.

Gotta finish getting ready for work... Catch y'all later

Caleb Sebastian Kershner, Welcome to the Air!

My son is here and he is doing great! He was born September 1st. 8 pounds, 9 ounces. 19.5 inches long. ZZ only had to push 12 times before Caleb was born. No pain medicine at all! She was amazing and she deserves to be proud of herself for the rest of her life.

Caleb had only one problem. After he was born, his 'bili' count sky rocketed and he needed to return to the Children's Hospital and spend 24 hours under the ultra violet lights. He's back home with us now and we're pleased as punch to have him in our home.

He sleeps all the time. He sleeps straight through the night already and he's only 4 days old! ZZ and I have been extremely lucky to have had 6 to 8 hours of sleep each night. It worried us at first and we wondered, like ST said, if we should be waking him up to feed him every 2-3 hours, but all of the doctors we spoke to said to let him sleep and to take advantage of the peace. The more relaxed ZZ stays, the better her milk will be produced.

Anyway, he's eating a lot, pooping a lot, crying a little, sleeping a lot, and kicking his feet like pistons.

Sitting here at my computer, my baby boy a room away being fed by my ZZ, I can still smell his baby skin smell on my hands.

I've been a father for exactly 4 days, 6 hours, and 19 minutes. I feel like a new man. A real man. I know you guys know what I'm talking about too, it's the most amazing feeling and there's no way a blog entry could EVER capture how I feel.

I love my son, and nothing in the world is more amazing than his new face. AH! Fresh life.

Peace and Love,
Mungolopogus

No Bloggers in the Champaigne Room

I don't know what the hell that title is actually supposed to mean.

Anyway, I am transiting between airports and slowly working my way back to SLC. I am ready to get home and drive my truck. It will be like buying all over again and riding in it for the first time. I had it for 17 hours prior to going on my travels.

Here are the latest updates...

The reunion went fine. Almost started some controversy but avoided it in the end. Got hammered had a great time.

It was good to see the family in houston. Even my step dad was nice to me. I fixed his computer so i think he felt obligated to be nice.

My friend's wedding was fun. Got hammered had a great time.

Met some new people in NY and they were just really good people. Something you do not find often anymore. Met a few chicks. Some names I remember, others I don't. If I don't remember the name it is because she was not pretty enough for me to pay attention.

They are starting to call for my flight to Minneapolis. that will be the last stop before SLC.

Later Bros and Blog like the monkey... (WTF??)
