Utah, ATV's, Snow, DJ's

Utah was an absolute blast this past weekend. As we drove to UT it was raining and nasty. We woke up Saturday morning to perfectly blue skies and very chilly temps.

Our riding on Sat took us up to about 11,900 feet and we got to play in the snow with our wheelers. The snow was a ton of fun and I even had to use my winch to get Eddie out of a snow drift. Ashlee and Beck loved it as well.

At about the half way point in our ride one of the ATV's had something go wrong with the transmisson so we ended up towing and slowly driving it back (25 miles). It was still a blast. Luckily we had brought our extra quad so we could still go riding on Sunday.

For Sunday's ride we stayed at a little lower elevation (9500 ft and lower). We had a blast even though it was a in the 40's.

So...we were all sitting at Prospectors Cafe for breakfast on Monday morning before heading home. There was this couple in there eating and I thought the guy looked familiar. I didn't think anything of it since Marysvale is a town of about 400 people and the probability of seeing someone that I know is very remote. We started chatting with them and it turns out they are from Vegas as well (that's not why he looked familiar). During the conversation they mentioned that they lived in AK previously. I asked when they were up there. It turns out that Jody was in the Air Force and stationed at Elmendorf from 1998 to 2001 and Billy was the DJ at Chilkoot Charlies! Go figure. I knew that he looked familiar but I couldn't place him since I was drunk every time I saw him!! HA!

What a freaking small world. Oh yeah, and to top it off they live about 5 miles from us and love to ride quads. Weird.

ST out
